Looking for a qualified, hands-on technology consulting manager who enjoys delivering solutions across electronic trading systems engagements. Consulting engagements deliver performance enhancing business technology change and range from business analysis to design and development to quality assurance and certification.

Qualifications:
-International travel flexibility.
-Working knowledge of the Capital Markets industry segment, specifically around electronic trading.
-5+ years of development and architecture in trading systems.
-5+ years working within Professional Services or Consulting with progressive management responsibility.
-Experience in developing work plans, project scopes, pricing estimates, and presentations to be able to assist in selling work to clients.
-Must have experience managing a variety of teams, including small engagements as well as large initiatives. Should have experience estimating project work and cost.
-Project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning and analysis.
-3 years of software development or architecture in capital markets or related consulting industry (Java, C#, VB).
-Make compelling presentations to a variety of audiences using visual aids, slide shows, and other media. Be adept at getting the attention and involvement of the most sophisticated and difficult audiences.
-Set a comfortable tone, communicate effectively and encourage open communication.
-Deep experience of software development life cycle, automated analysis, QA cycle and modeling tools desired.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Understanding of capital markets industry.
-Familiarity with FIX protocol variations, FIX Servers, and Order Management System concepts.
-Strong programming skills in Java, SQL. Additional nice to have skills in C#, XML.
-Experience with MS Word, Excel, Visio.
-Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase and DB2.
-Ability to effectively work with various customer management levels and end-users with varying technical abilities.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment; to be flexible and learn quickly.
-Ability to multi-task with attention to detail/prioritize tasks.
-Committed team leader who can function independently.
-Ability to develop rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships.
-Spanish speaking (desired)
-BA or BS degree in CS, MIS, Computer Information Systems, or a related field required.
Responsibilities:
-Analyze each client's specific situation and determine the underlying problem and delivery approach.
-Develop and recommend solutions based on customer needs across full lifecycle delivery: analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
-Full SDLC execution and management.
-Communicate and report project status to client managers and IT management, including budget, risks, issues, etc.
-Understand the underlying technologies being used on a project to be able to direct how to design, develop, test, and implement a technical development project.
-Identify, design, and estimate technology solutions and architectures commensurate to client needs.
-Mentor and manage teams of consultants to be able to keep project on time.
-Hands on development and tool execution where needed.
